Angie Ellis
Lactation Consultant, IBCLC

I aim to provide both practical and emotional support, empowering new mothers to give them the confidence to continue to breastfeed successfully.

I qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2011, and recently recertified in 2021. I have been an NHS employee since 2003, working in Health Visiting Teams, Community Midwifery Teams and in Maternity as a Infant Feeding Specialist. In my current role, I am the Community Infant Feeding Coordinator in a London borough. I have experience facilitating training to all members of staff, antenatal breastfeeding workshops and providing specialist support in the community setting, postnatal wards, neonatal unit, paediatric ward and A&E departments. I also manage the provision of infant feeding support within the community setting. I live in North London with my husband and two daughters. My own personal experience of breastfeeding motivated me to help other mothers to breastfeed. I aim to provide both practical and emotional support, empowering new mothers to give them the confidence to continue to breastfeed successfully. Some comments from parents: “Thank you for helping me through the early weeks of breastfeeding. Sophia and I could never have done it without your support. The helped you offered was so amazing, above and beyond. Sophia is 16 weeks old and we’re doing great, still exclusively breastfeeding.”
